My role was to create the interior of the Nurnheim Cathedral. It was a set extension based on several sequences and I did the modeling, texturing, shading, and look dev for this environment. Eventually it was handed off to lighting for final tweaks in the shot(s).
The objective was to make a vast cathedral that looked far bigger than the exterior would allow. I built a lot of modular parts and essentially duplicated prefabs until I reached a satisfactory size for the shots. The look was directly based off the practical set the scene was filmed at, matching the ground tiles and overall texture feel and architectural style.
