My name is JJ and I'm a CG Generalist.
I grew up in Phoenix Arizona, where summers can reach the 120s. I think this may have contributed to my aversion to sunlight and my love for video games and film. I got my start working in my hometown, doing many facets of production and post production for commercials and corporate clients. This has provided me with a wide foundation of skills that continue to help my communication and development today.
In 2016 I ventured to Atlanta Georgia to work on Archer as a 3D environment artist for Floyd County Productions, and from there I made my way to Los Angeles, working as a CG Artist and Compositor, mostly for a variety of television series.
Currently I'm working as a Lead CG Artist for Encore VFX in Burbank, managing the hard surface asset department. We build props, vehicles, and environments in coordination with other departments.
In my spare time, I’m developing VR content, games, and narrative projects.
My friends know me to be a bit goofy. I love a good cup of coffee, and I’ve got a real penchant for silly voices.

In addition to some lighter 3D work, most of what I produced for Muse was compositing. I was responsible for many "invisible" visual effects, like car comps, screen replacements, wire removals, and others.
3D Environment and Layout Artist - Building and lighting environments and camera layout to match storyboards.
Worked On:
- Archer - Season 7

- Unreleased Pilot
My duties primarily include the construction of backgrounds for the background art department to paint over, camera placement, rough lighting and texturing, and character layout. Our department provides the backbone for the other departments to quickly get proper proportions and perspective, and to ensure proper screen direction.
My job was to wear many hats. Helping develop and finish projects across a wide range of skill sets, including directing, 3D modeling and texturing, 3D animation, motion graphics, video editing, visual effects, and even principal photography.
I was responsible for helping concept, create, and execute video based projects for a variety of clients. The projects came in a variety of forms, using live-action footage, motion graphics animation, 3D animation, etc.
